The design blends California and Australian influences on its façade, where a continuous rhythm of wooden slats defines the exterior. A simple but effective system of vertical cedar boards paired with a horizontal sleeper framework gives the house its warm, textured look.
The cedar-clad exterior reads as both natural and resilient: it gives the house a relaxed, beachside presence while standing up to humid coastal winds and salt air. Over time the cedar will develop a soft patina that enhances the home’s organic character. Inside, the transition between outdoors and living spaces is intentionally seamless. A restrained palette of white, warm wood tones and soft bluish-grays unifies the living room, kitchen and dining area, creating a calm backdrop that keeps the focus on light, texture and the views beyond.
