FF Apartment Renovation by Studio2 Arquitetura e Interiores
Designed for a couple who own a chain of bakeries and love to cook, the FF Apartment in Águas Claras centers around an exceptional kitchen and a refined, contemporary living area. Renovated by Studio2 Arquitetura e Interiores, the apartment now offers a more open, fluid layout, improved circulation, and a calm palette of neutral tones. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames views of the lush Águas Claras Park, bringing abundant natural light into the shared spaces.
The living area is deliberately spacious, with the kitchen acting as the visual and functional heart of the home. The kitchen features a striking central island clad in Mont Blanc quartz, paired with custom cabinetry that mixes soft gray lacquer and warm wood finishes. This combination creates a balanced contrast between sleek, light-reflecting surfaces and natural textures. Throughout the apartment, exposed concrete beams and pillars, porcelain flooring and selected brickwork introduce a raw, tactile quality that complements the polished finishes.
Acoustic comfort and visual warmth were key priorities in the renovation. Custom MDF wall panels were installed in the TV and living areas to improve sound performance while also softening the visual language of the rooms. In the master suite, an accent wall clad in marble provides a focal point that elevates the bedroom’s atmosphere without overwhelming its calm, neutral scheme.
The interior palette relies on whites, warm woods and soft grays to keep the overall ambience serene and elegant. Furnishings were selected to reinforce clean, modern lines—white sofas and sculptural lounge chairs create comfortable seating areas while maintaining an uncluttered look. Thoughtful lighting and discreet window treatments, such as white drapes, help filter daylight and preserve privacy without sacrificing the view.
The existing trust due to the longstanding relationship between the owners and the architects Alex Claver and Wilker Medeiros, from Studio2 Arquitetura e Interiores, made this project possible. In the last three years the architect duo has renovated 13 shops owned by the couple as well as designed the previous family home.
Bathrooms and bedrooms continue the project’s restrained, contemporary language. The main bathroom features twin vanities and gray finishes that contribute to a serene, functional space, while the bedroom’s marble accent wall adds understated luxury. Every material and finish was chosen to balance durability with a soft, livable aesthetic that suits owners who value serious cooking and comfortable daily living.
