South End Boston Condo Renovation by Leslie Fine Interiors
This South End condominium in Boston was given a complete transformation to replace a cramped, compartmentalized layout with an airy, cohesive and stylish home. The renovation, led by Leslie Fine Interiors, reworked the plan to restore natural light, improve flow and introduce a modern coastal palette with bold accent pieces.
Kitchen, Laundry and Open Plan Living
The kitchen was the focal point of the redesign. Previously it contained a large pantry and a laundry area that left the space tight and awkward. The renovation relocated the laundry and established a new, functional kitchen layout that maximizes work zones and circulation. Adjacent to the kitchen is a smartly positioned dining area that flows into the living room, creating an open-plan arrangement that welcomes natural light and encourages social interaction.

The living room is predominantly white, punctuated by bright red accents that add energy without overwhelming the calm base. Thoughtful placement of furniture and lighting enhances sightlines from the kitchen through the dining area into the living space, making the whole plan feel generous and connected.
Home Office and Decorative Palette
A compact home office was created with a white-and-blue cabinetry scheme that feels both crisp and calming. Blue accents and coastal-inspired textures give the workspace a defined identity while remaining consistent with the overall modern coastal theme used throughout the condo. Built-in storage and organized cabinetry improve day-to-day functionality while keeping the footprint efficient.

Living and Dining: Bright, Inviting Spaces
The dining room is kept light and modern, with white finishes and sheer curtains that let daylight filter through. Across the open plan, larger-scale artwork and color accents create focal points that draw the eye and tie rooms together. The living area features comfortable seating and curated decor that balance modern lines with welcoming textures.

Kitchen Details and Interior Flow
The revamped kitchen is both functional and elegant, using a restrained palette and thoughtful storage to keep counters clear and tasks efficient. Materials and finishes were selected to be easy on the eye while supporting daily use, creating a space that feels inviting whether preparing meals or entertaining guests.

Bathrooms: Spa-Like and Thoughtful
The master bath was redesigned to feel spa-like, with a deliberate layout and refined finishes. The wall between the toilet and tub was reduced to counter height to open sightlines while still delineating functional zones. A sculptural freestanding bathtub anchors the room, and a layered lighting plan offers both ambient mood lighting and precise task illumination.

Further, the wall between the toilet and tub was reduced to counter height to create a feeling of openness but still maintain separate spaces. A sculptural, free-standing bathtub took center stage, and a wonderful lighting plan was created to provide both mood and task lighting.
Art, Color and the Master Bedroom
Large wall art pieces appear throughout the home, each contributing to a consistent modern coastal theme while allowing accent colors to vary from room to room. In the bedroom, soft pastel bedding and matching drapes create a soothing retreat filled with natural light. Decorative choices throughout the condo focus on balance—combining bold focal elements with a calm, neutral foundation.

Space-Savvy Design and Final Impressions
The overall redesign emphasizes space-savvy solutions that reduce clutter and make the home feel larger and more inviting. Built-in storage, a simplified palette, and strategic room adjacencies combine to enhance daily living while creating a visually unified interior. The result is a stylish, functional condo that balances modern coastal aesthetics with practical improvements—a thoughtful overhaul that leaves a strong impression.
