In this San Francisco Edwardian renovation, Niche Interiors reimagined a classic residence in Noe Valley, blending historic character with contemporary, occasionally minimalist details. The designers describe the result as a “glammed up version of Victorian meets rock ’n’ roll,” and the balance between refined heritage and bold modern touches is evident throughout the house.

The interior palette is anchored in white, which creates a calm backdrop for targeted bursts of color and varied textures. The arrangement keeps circulation clear and makes it easy to host without closing off any single activity.

Entry details and built-in millwork are intentionally space-savvy. A compact console at the entrance keeps essentials organized while preserving visual openness. Metallic accents and deep-blue elements around the bar and living area introduce a touch of glamour that complements the white base without competing with historic moldings or original window frames. Lighting plays a key role: statement fixtures add personality and help define the dining and living zones while maintaining a relaxed, refined atmosphere.
